It Does Not Matter What Your Peers Think: Short-Hub #1
Allow me to introduce to you a new style of Hub... The Short-Hub
I am putting together this series of short-hubs to empower budding entrepreneurs to find the motivation they need which is often missing to go public with their ideas.
I found, when I was first tiptoeing into the entrepreneurial lifestyle, it was daunting telling people about my ideas and in fact, my first few ventures went unnoticed by almost everybody around me and it was only last year I started becoming more and more public about my ideas and ventures.
Overcoming the boundaries set for you by your peers...
I used to be so afraid of what people thought, scared of being told "That's a bad idea"...
But let me tell you, I've been told "That's a bad idea" so many times that if I even listened just once, I'd never be where I am today.
So I never told anybody about what I was doing, I kept my entrepreneurialship private and it was a lonely, self-depreciating world. But now, now I know I have so many bad ideas, but the ones I go through with are good. I know the difference between a good and bad idea and let me tell you, your peers don't.
Simply because your friends and family are not you, just because they think it's a bad idea usually means that they haven't got the mental capacity to come up with or carry out the ideas themselves.
The point is, that in reality the only person who knows what you are capable of is yourself. No doctor or psychologist can get into your head deep enough to tell you what you are capable of.
You have your own boundaries. It is entirely down to you to expand them.
In other words, if you have an idea and you think it's a good idea, it probably is. Grab it by the horns and run with it, just know when to let go if need be.
